Hearing from the Artist Mo Riza

Posted on April 30, 2021May 2, 2021 by lisalorraineh

Mo Riza is a New York-based artist who works a professional career during the day. Yet, in the early hours of the morning, he vanishes into his home studio and creates wonderful visionary paintings using cheap household paint and rolls of constructive paper. The visual imagery he creates stems from a fantastic world and depicts dismembered body parts, multiples eyes, decorative dots, angels, animals, and all sorts of organic material. This imagery is a world away from reality as we know it. It guides the viewer into the artist’s mind, which appears oh so beautiful, mystical, and sometimes grotesque. In this video, we hear from the artist himself.
